Six Unimportant Favorite Things

Six Unimportant favorite things
My friend Janice tagged me in this little challenge, so here goes my list. I am assuming that "unimportant" things means I'm not listing family, friends and whatnot.

1. Chocolate. I find it hard to live without it. And now that I'm breastfeeding and trying to stop Samara from being a cranky baby, I've cut back drastically and I think about it WAY too much. Honestly, when I'm done breastfeeding, I am looking forward to eating chocolate with reckless abandon...even more than having a glass of wine!

2. Long, uninterrupted baths. In my old life, I'd have them pretty much every night in the winter. Now I don't have time but one day I will and it will be amazing!

3. Books. I love to read and always have to have a book on the go. I feel lost without one. Now that Samara is here, reading helps to kill some time while breastfeeding too! And the books must be silly, trashy and not require any thought. I'm not looking to learn anything, just be entertained.

4. Long walks in the evening. Perfect way to unwind from the day and to catch up with Shawn. And now it's even better because we can bring our little gal! Oops. That included family...but really a walk by myself would be good too, just not quite the same! I guess I can change this to just say, being in the outdoors...whether it be walking, hiking, etc.

5. Spring and summer smells and sensations...freshly mowed grass, the sun on my face. We had such a rotten winter that I really am appreciating the beautiful weather we've been having. Oops. Again, this is probably the same as #4!

6. My blackberry. How sad is that?! Really though it's my main form of communication with the outside world these days...I can't always make it through a phone conversation without Samara needing something or fussing and my blackberry allows me to email people when I have a spare moment and the same goes for reading the replies.
