Happy Halloween!!
Sammy's first Halloween was lots of fun. We went and visited Great Uncle Keith, Donna and Uncle Keith for awhile and then headed over to Aunty Tianna and Uncle Shay's. Sam was oh so cute in her little monkey costume. They're making costumes super warm now, perfect for the usual cold Halloweens we get. The only problem is that we were inside so the costume was pretty warm and Sam got hot pretty fast and didn't love that so much!

26 weeks
Samara can now balance on all fours. If we put her on the ground, she puts herself that way. She can rock slightly but if she tries to move, her belly plants on the ground. It won't be long before she's mobile!

Little Lovebirds
Yesterday we went and visited Angela and Jamie. It's funny because sometimes I tell my other friends and family that it's a playdate and I laugh because it's not like they actually play together or pay any attention to each other. Not true with these 2!! They were so so so cute and completely interested in each other, touching faces, holding hands, etc. Jamie loved the bows on Samara's little jumper and we even got a picture of him coping a feel! Too funny! Funny now...not so funny in about 13 years!!

Baby Halloween Party!
Yesterday, the prenatal (now postnatal!) group moms and babies got together for a little Halloween party. It was lots of fun but the babies did NOT enjoy getting together and getting their picture taken! Of course all the moms are laughing hysterically during the photo shoot. Some of the babies turned out to be bullies...eye gouging, hair pulling, etc! I also included a picture of the spider cookies I made for the party. They look better than they taste...licorice and cookies are not that great of a mix!

Then and Now
Exactly a year ago today, we saw Samara for the first time. Here are some then and now pictures:

Just came across this quote...
A baby will make love stronger, days shorter, nights longer, bankroll smaller, home happier, clothes shabbier, the past forgotten, and the future worth living for.

Sonya's Visit
Yesterday, my friend Sonya came over for a visit. Samara was nice enough to take an extra long nap so we could catch up. When she woke up, Sonya took a few quick pictures of her. Sonya is SO talented. Here are a few shots of that impromptu photo shoot:

Here is a sample of a landscape picture that Sonya took. Breathtaking! Check out more of her photos on her blog, www.sonyabean.com.

25 weeks
Not sure what happened last night but I ended up feeding Sam at 2am and at 630am. I thought we were down to 1 feeding a night, darn! Maybe it's a growth spurt or maybe it was just an off night. We've had an off couple of days because of teething...Sam is especially clingy and is not at all interested in independent play.

Sam wearing her big girl jeans, they finally fit (kind of!):
Look at all that hair!
Too cute to resist not taking a picture:
Daddy and Sam playing:
Beautiful smile!
Hanging out and listening to music:
Sam will still be a monkey for Halloween but we got a few hand me down costumes and this was too cute not to at least put it on her for a picture!
Hanging out in her high chair, only another week until solids!
Aunty Chelsey looking at Sam's wild and crazy hair!
