I took Presley to her 6 week checkup yesterday. She weighs 10 pounds and is 22 inches long. That puts her around the 65th percentile for both (which she was at 3 weeks as well). Just for fun, I looked back at what Samara weighed at 6 weeks and it was 10 pounds and 14 ounces!
Samara at 6 weeks:
Samara is pronouncing S's! This morning instead of calling herself Mammy, she called herself Sammy. So proud of her but also ridiculously sad that she's growing up! She still calls Presley "Esey" and when we try to get her to do the P's, she goes, "P...P...P...ESEY!"
Samara is also walking down the stairs by herself. I always hold her hand so she can walk down like a big girl and we were at a friend's this morning and she did it right in front of me. Why must these little ones grow up so quickly?
Remember these cute sock monkeys I made the girls for their stockings?
It has been insanely windy here the past couple of days. So windy that it's hard to sleep through the noise...and wakes the girls up. Eff Lethbridge...I will not be living here forever until they build a dome to protect the city from the extreme winds. Hmm...there is a bi-election for an alderman (one of the elected ones passed away before he could serve). Maybe I should and that will be my platform.
The winds DID bring an insane Chinook...yesterday I wasn't even wearing a coat.
Shawn and I went on a little mini-date on Monday while Jim and Jill were still here. It was sooooo nice. Since we moved to Lethbridge back in May, we've been out ONCE. For 2 hours. This date was only about 3 hours but a blissful 3 hours. We ran a few errands (actually quite nice when you don't have to load and unload kids!), did a bit of shopping, had a long coffee and chat and then browsed Chapters. Both girls slept through the entire thing and didn't even know we were gone.
The last 2 nights Presley has gone 5-6 hours between feeds and then 3-5 hours for the next one. I hardly even want to post that because I could pee myself from excitement. I think Samara slept this well...oh, around 6 months maybe?!
Have a great weekend!

cute!! they look SO much alike!
Amazing how much they look alike!
I think Presley is a gender-neutral name, but probably more associated with boys.
Yay for the sleep! I can only hope this next one is like that!
Wow those girls look identical!
I get the name issue with both of my girls because they are gender neutral names as well. The way I see it, they just have strong names, the kind of name a president might have :)
They look like twins.
Save the monkey-it will be more interesting one of these days.I think my sisters and I eventually wore one completely out over time.
Yipee for long stretches of sleep!
They do look alike!
Henry has a sock monkey, not made by me, and he doesn't care for it either. I wonder if it is something about their look. My boys latch on to different animals and the ones I specifically bought for them before they were born, in hopes they would be favorites were never their choice.
Well, if it makes you feel better, Maddy loves the monkey you made. She snuggles with her while we read books.
I think Presley can be for either boy or girl, but I would assume girl if I heard it.
Wow! Do they ever look like sisters. They are going to have so much fun growing up together.
Love your "Friday Leftovers"
I think Presley is a girls name!! At least I think girl when I hear it. :)
