Nice Stranger

There was a really nice nurse at Presley's check up this morning. She was weighing and measuring Presley and asked if this was easy routine now that she is 3 months old. I replied that it was, especially considering Presley was my second baby. She looked at me with this shocked look and asked how it was possible I had 2 babies already when I was so young and skinny. I replied that I would be 30 this year and she couldn't believe it.

I'm tempted to start stalking her and make her be my new best friend. Let's face it, we could all use a friend like that!

Of course it's possible this is the latest training nurses get so that parents are super nice to them!

What's the nicest thing a stranger ever said to you?

I totally agree with her - you look amazing!

I've had strangers comment on what a patient mom I am and that is always a nice feeling!

What a nice compliment! I'm sure she was sincere because I would have said the same thing :)

I can't think of anything that a stranger has said that is nice. Not that I don't get compliments. I'm just getting a lot of those "almost there" and "you'll have your hands full" remarks, so anything flattering isn't occuring to me right now ;)

Once when Logan was about 10 months old I was carrying him out of a store, talking to him, giving him kisses, etc...and a mom got out of a minivan with 2 kids about 5 and 7 and said, "Wow, you guys look so cute. I need to remember that feeling." Made me burst with love for my little one! :)

A few times we have been approached in a restaurant by people (usually elderly) that tell us our boys are so well behaved and cute. That always makes me so proud.

And that lady was right- you look fabulous, as always!
