Friday Night Leftovers

- An update on Presley's friend, Nyana: You might remember from this post that she was getting a G-tube inserted on Tuesday. Well, their surgery got bumped to yesterday (talk about an emotional rollercoaster to prepare for surgery and then find out it isn't happening) but I'm pleased to report that Nyana was a complete champ and is doing well. She will be home with her parents before we know it!
- Aunty Chelsey was supposed to return to Yellowknife in the wee hours of the morning today...but her flight got cancelled so she gets to stay another day!
- I think I'm going to have to get a part time job for Sammy's love of clothes. I took her to the mall the other day and she kept stroking clothes and saying, "nnnnniiiiiiice!!"...this could get expensive!
- I mentioned before that we have white noise machines in both of the girls' rooms. Well, now we have it in our room as well. It's really helping with my momsomnia. I only hear the girls if I'm needed, not for every little sigh.
- We obviously are not first time parents but we still act like it! We were concerned (paranoid?!) about Presley's flat spot on her head. I had visions of her wearing a helmet 23 hours a day to correct it...so off we went to the doctor. Turns out we were overreacting and she's completely fine. Better safe than sorry, right?! We do tummy time so often with Presley that Samara has started making her dolls do it too.
- The day Presley turned 4 months, she turned into a cooing, giggling machine. Now I don't have to work at all to get those sounds from her...love it!
- Hungry for more leftovers? Have your fill here!

Niiiice! LOVE IT!!
and yay that your sis gets to stay another day!
I was a total wreck over worry about a flat spot too...we have to have something to worry about, right? And yay for giggles and an extra day for the extra special aunt! :)
fun updates! Life is good!
Sad that Auntie Chelsey had to go home today, but I hope you guys had a lovely visit. I'm sure she loved to see the girls.
Perhaps I should get whitenoise in my room, too. My momsomnia is out of control. No fun at all.
I ment to tell you... the nurse at the clinic yesterday said "I see H has a bald spot, you need to do more tummy time that's why" and I replied smugly "no, her bald spot is from sleeping." She proceeded to tell me that it's not from sleeping and that she's getting a flat head from me laying her on her back to much. I then got mad and basically told her she was stupid and that I was at the doctor yesterday and her head is fine. I said that she sleeps 11 hours straight and that yes, her bald spot is from sleeping. She quickly changed her theory and apologized.
Don't tell me my kid has a flat head because i "lay her in her back too much" - you don't know what I do at home!!!!
Yay for Aunty staying an extra day!
Tummy time...HJ doesn't mind it too much. we only do it for a few minutes, twice a day, for now. How cute that dolls get tummy time too!
Lol about the "nnnnniiice"!
I wanted to click the 'like' button on every single point.
Don't worry about Presley's head. My girl spends 20 hours a day on her back in her crib and tummy time is off limits for about eight weeks, and no one is concerned about her flat heat. By the time hair grows in it won't even be an issue.
And lol at Samara "niiice". I'm her biggest fan. :)
I think the copying Tummy Time is the cutest thing in the world.
I was a little freaked by the head stuff too, but the pedi recommended changing the direction on the changing pad b/c then the Crazies would look in different directions...helped me to not freak out...made me feel like there was something I could do.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!!!
I was so paranoid about my boys getting flat heads...I bought the boppy head-nest something or other, hahha! Seems silly now. They are older and their heads are just fine!
Stopped by from FNL:)
Cute blog! Thanks for stopping by mine ;)
I've been thinking of getting a part time job at gymboree.... that would be so dangerous though! ;)
Stopping by from FNL.
I think every baby is different!! I thought I would have it all down to a science this time around...HAHAHA I was so very wrong!!
Oh I can't wait for the cooing, giggling stage!! Puts a smile on my face just thinking about it.
Horray for an extra day! I'm with you on the part time job just for the clothes. Tot would own every mismatched dress in town if she had her way.
