Tell Me Tuesday

Tell Me Tuesday with Canadian Mama
Hosted by Canadian Mama

I'm playing along with my friend this week. My question that I need help with:

This will be Samara's first Easter that she kind of "gets" what's going on. I'm definitely not opposed to treats and she WILL get some...but what other fun things could we hide that isn't candy? Keep in mind that anything super small is still a hazard around her. Any suggestions?

You can get one of those bigger pieced puzzles and hide the various pieces around the house, and then help her put it together. :)

Jammies. Our kids get spring/summer jammies every year at Easter. It's a fun tradition they look forward to.

You could get crayons or those Crayola wonder markers. Hair bows or clips! Toothbrush could go in a basket, along with Jammies or an outfit. Play-Doh (you could put it in an egg easily!).

Here is a really bad idea.buy some live Easter chicks-Samara and Presley will be excited-Charlie and robbie will see a nice fresh lunch.
Samara will be really upset and get real annoyed with the cats

I don't really have any ideas that weren't said here but I'm not ashamed to say that I am also stealing some suggestions!

I usually get matchbox cars (they fit in those plastic eggs) and hide them as well as candies and little things like bouncy balls, stickers, etc.

Last year we did stickers and crayons. A neat idea would also be the monkeys in a barrel (but you could put the monkeys into the eggs and hide them all over). I love the idea of the real chicks the best - please do that!!!

What about stickers? Tattoos? Crayons?

It's a pain in the butt for parents but my mum used to make jello filled eggs. Poke a hole in top and bottom of a raw egg (yes, it's doable), blow the egg out, rinse with water, fill with jello and set in the fridge. Paint them pretty and voila, easter eggs.

Make a monster omelette with the dozen eggs you have sitting in the bowl.
