This past month, Samara:
- uses the potty!! I didn't want to say anything until it was a done deal. We started last weekend and she's been a total superstar.
- has learned her colours. She has to be in the right mood but she's getting really good at it!
- has started learning and singing her ABCs. I know right now it's all about memorization and doesn't mean she truly "gets" what she's singing but it's really cute anyway.
- is now building towers instead of being concerned with knocking them down.
- has good manners. She says "please" and "thank you" usually without any prompting.
Favorite things this past month:
- her bears have been pushed off their "favorite" ledge. Now she's all about dolls...her favorite being my old Cabbage Patch doll named Melody.
- playing the piano and guitar. She loves to alternate being playing fast/loud and then playing slow/quiet. Guess which one is my favorite?!
- loves transferring things from container to container. If you give her a snack, she automatically goes to her little kitchen to get a different bowl or tea cup and proceeds to transfer everything, organize, separate...it can take her forever to finish!
Things I never want to forget:
- how she comments on something funny or weird by saying, "hooo geez!".
- how she comments on something gross by saying, "eeewww...sicccckkkk...grrroooosss!!". Such a girl!
- when she hugs Presley, she waits for about 3 seconds and then says, "nuff". I'm certain this comes from her enthusiastic hugging that we had to monitor and tell her when it had been enough. Now she monitors herself!
- how she loves to hold Presley's hand and will every so often kiss it. She is such a good big sister!

She's so cute. I love her sassy hair and her sassy style. That's a funny age for girls.
Such a sweet girl! Too funny about the hugs and Jack sure likes to 'transfer' his snacks too. . .or feed them to the dog!
Where does the time go? It seems like yesterday I was pregnant and now have a 2 year old!
Oh, I love Cabbage Patch Dolls! I'm gonna live the girl life vicariously (sp?) through your girls, while we play with trucks here!
What a sweetheart! I love the self-monitoring hugs! And Alice does the transferring food too. Cute, but so time consuming! I usually just put her snack in one of her pots and let her go with it :)

Love these posts and wish I had done them for my boys. Samara's hair is getting SO long. It is so pretty!
Henry likes to hold Sydney's hand and often brushes it past his lips too. I guess they too think that babies are so yummy they want to eat them up :)
It happens way to fast! Love her 'nuff comment, she's one smart girl.

I can't believe she is almost 2!!! It can't have been that long! Wow! Are you doing anything big for her birthday?
You are so great at capturing beautiful photos of the girls. Sammy is already so beautiful. Not hard to see where she gets that from!
