I posted here and here about dance parties at our house. They happen often...it'll turn any bad mood around.
Since this whole blog is the girls' baby books, I thought it would be neat for them to look back at what kind of music we used to listen/dance to as a family. So, I'm trying to do these posts semi-regularly.
Our latest:
Johnny Got A Boom Boom - Imelda May
Ghostwriter - RJD2
Dig Up Her Bones - The Misfits
That's All Right - Elvis Presley
What's playing at your house? I have to say, comments on these posts are my favorite! I love to hear what other people are listening to!

if i have control over the music its almost always oldies... lately i've been listening to the oldies channel on the digital cable music channels.... i didn't even know it was there. now i listen to music on the tv more than i watch it.
if its not the tv it will be one of my favorite records. beach boys, buddy holly, frank sinatra or elvis... with a little MJ thrown in for variation and dance party with baxter purposes. we do a mean thriller dance in the kitchen.LOL!
I just listened to "Johnny Got A Boom Boom" for the first time. Great song! Grace loves when we dance with her!
We listen to a lot of Tiesto around these parts -- Nyana loves her namesake CD. For good dance parties she also loves some Bran Van 3000, Bob Marley, Adele, Fleetwood Mac.
Dinner time music is often Hed Kandi, Van Morrison, Grateful Dead, Simon & Garfunkel, Allman Bros.
Addison was born with Fleetwood Mac playing so I know she is a Lindsay and Stevie fan! Got a whole lot of country (Keith Urban) and some 90's pop going on (a la Vanilla Ice, Salt & Pepa, etc.).
We've been listening to Owl City, City and Color, Rave On (Buddy Holly tribute album) and of course, Maddy's fav Taylor Swift
crazy by gnarls barklet...I remember when i remember...
that should have been Barkley!!
now that Wade is here there is no end to the Elvis P music!!
