Last week I asked what dinner time was like for you. This week I'm being nosy about groceries. Who goes? Where to? How often?
I'm kind of a wimp when it comes to taking both girls grocery shopping. I can do it. I've done it. But I don't like to do it. Samara is good in the cart for about 3.5 seconds before she demands out and it's just too hard to concentrate on getting the food, not overbuying, not letting Presley suck the coin chain and watching Samara meander through the aisles by myself. So, lately we've been going as a family. We usually go to Superstore and we go once a week. I'm a huge planner and list maker so before we head out, I've always got the meals planned for the week and an itemized list (organized helpfully by area of the store!) of what we need. Yes. I'm a nerd. I've accepted it.

i do all the grocery shopping... fernando is helpless at the grocery store. every sunday i go to superstore with my list and pick up everything for the week. every now and then i'll pop into a different store for something i can't get at superstore.
i love grocery shopping. its my guaranteed weekly outing (lame i know)
We are relatively disorganized about groceries. There's a grocery store near the park/library that Maddy and I often walk to. I've been trying to get most of our fruit and veggies at an organic grocer, and we go there about once a week. Dan frequently stops on his way home from work to pick up any extras that we need. We do a big Costco shop for meat and some staples every few weeks.
With only Maddy it's not a big deal to go to the store. She sometimes wants to ride in the cart, sometimes she wanders. She likes helping to pick out the fruit & veggies and loading things into the cart.
I usually do the grocery shopping, but B goes sometimes. I always make a list organized by area of store too! My mom always did it that way so it just seems natural. My grandmother will make a list of things as she needs them, and my dad hates getting her groceries because it's not organized!
I love grocery shopping, too. I don't dare go with Don (will lead to an argument) or let Don go by himself (will spend 3x our budget and buy crap like Oreos). I usually go European and shop daily for produce, but usually have a freezer full of protein.
I just love making lists so I'll make lists, organize them by aisle and then forget it at home. I love grocery shopping. We do a big costco run for meat and then stop in at superstore or safeway every few days.
Mikey loves to run grocery errands these days because its an extra motorcycle ride for him. We seem to be "needing" milk a lot lately
Yep, I shop just like you (but I also have my coupons ready too)! I can't do it with both boys so I go after they are in bed (I wish my hubby would come with me but I can't pay him to go into a grocery store)!
I'll get a little nerdier...I have a list typed up that I made using the layout of the store, so I just check things off each week, write the meals up on the top, etc. Total and complete dork.
I do the shopping and take Logan with me, usually on Sundays. He's always done pretty well at the store (knock on wood) but is starting to get a little obsessed with those car carts where they ride in the front (thanks grandma!) and I don't trust him up there...
I usually end up going with all three. My boys are good though about being near and following my rules. However, if I can get there with just two I do way better. And if I go by myself I don't forget as much but I tend to space out and spend 20 minutes looking at the different choices because I have time and less distractions and realize there are other choices. hahaha! I do not like to go out at night after the kids are in bed so that is why I tend to have them tagging along! Fun question to ask!
You are crazy! I would rather go myself than with anyone at all. I have my list organized and ready to go and actually use an app on my phone. If anyone comes with it takes even longer and then I run out of room in the cart.
