What They're Saying Lately

Sammy: "Do adults have birthdays sometimes?"
Me:  "Yes.  Dogs and cats and lions and elephants...they all have birthdays too."
Sammy: "But not bears because they poop too much."

"You make my heart feel so happy."


Sammy:  "Where's Georgie?"  (Georgie is her stuffed puppy that she sleeps with.)
Me:  "I'm not sure.  Why don't you call him?"
Sammy, puts her hand on my hand like she's breaking the news to me gently:  "He can't talk."

Me:  "It's time to clean up before lunch."
Sammy:  "I'm a king!"
Me:  "It's time for the king to clean up before lunch."
Sammy:  "Kings are not very good at cleaning up."

Sammy:  "What do you want for Christmas, Daddy?"
Shawn:  "Just you."
Sammy:  "But, but, but, Santa can't wrap me!!"
Shawn:  "Why's that?"
Sammy:  "I'm not a present!"

Presley (while trying to make Sammy be her pillow):  "STOP MOVING, PILLOW!!"


Walking in Superstore, getting groceries...
Pres:  "STOP!"
Me:  "What?  Why?"
Pres:  "Hammer time!"

Daddy:  "Do you want to go to University when you're older?"
Pres:  "No."
Daddy:  "How come?"
Pres:  "I go to school when I'm 3.  I'm 2!"

"I DON'T!!!" (said sternly while stomping one foot for emphasis.  Oh, the sass!!)
