Friday Night Leftovers

• On Wednesday, Sammy was the VIP at preschool.  That meant that I got to stay with her and see what she gets up to when I drop her off.  It was a lot of fun!  She was very territorial with me.  Whenever someone would try to play with us, she declared that she was done with that game and we should go to another center.  This continued for the entire "free play" time.

• I like the idea of joining Sammy at preschool every so often.  It is a bit of a pain though because siblings are not welcome.

• We went to the Nature Centre awhile back.  There was a snack that they took out of its cage so we could pet.  Sammy freaked.  Apparently she is not a snake lover, just like Poppy!  Presley and Shawn were eager to feel his skin and I swallowed my fear/disgust and pretended I was into it too.  

• Do you like pulp in your orange juice?  I think it should be outlawed.  I'm so thankful that they sell pulp-free juice.  Sammy seems to have inherited my distaste for it as well.

• In continuing with our crazy winter weather, it was warm enough to eat out on the picnic table last night.  +10 for the next 2 days.  We have gotten as low as -32 last month.  I feel sorry for the people that get weather related headaches!

• Isn't Facetime the best?  I love being able to have a quick chat with family and have the girls see who they're missing.  Makes the distance a tiny bit more bearable.

• I made the girls pink scrambled eggs to go with their breakfast yesterday morning.  It was completely awful looking!  They liked them but enjoyed the heart shaped toast a lot more.  They requested purple for today but I'm not too keen on exploring all the colours of the rainbow in our eggs.

• Do you know what makes a run harder?  Pushing a running stroller with close to 60lbs of weight in it.
