The Reward

As I posted on Friday, Samara has been doing a tremendous job at not sucking her thumb.  In the early days, we had mentioned something about going to a toy store to pick something out when she kicked the habit.  Yesterday, she remembered.  Off we went to Toys R Us where Sammy understood perfectly that she got to choose whatever toy she wanted in the whole entire store.

We walk into the store.  Sammy, as if magnetically drawn, locates the princess dresses immediately.  "This is the one I want."  No qualms about it.  We encouraged her to wander the store and see what else might be lurking down the aisles.  It was no use though.  Her mind was made up on an overpriced Aurora princess dress. 

A deal is a deal so we bought it.  We got it home and she could hardly wait while I took the tags off.  She puts it on...and...hates it.  "I do not like this!"

It now sits in her closet.  Untouched.  For now.
